The Global Fund Services ("GFS") group serves the worldwide securities needs of asset managers, pension funds and central banks. GFS is made up of six product companies; Fund Accounting, Transfer Agency, Trust & Fiduciary, Investment Operations, Investment Analytics and Global Derivatives Services. The primary team objective is to deliver strategic change to the operation teams enabling process efficiencies, risk reductions and facilitating a greater scalable business model within the business. There are numerous projects being managed by the team at any one time, and it is expected that all team members are flexible enough to interchange between multiple project streams where required.
The role is that of business analyst with the primary focus being to work with Operations and the wider project team i.e. Technology and Business functions, to clearly define, document and ensure collective understanding of all requirements related to the project. It is also expected, as required, to be involved in all aspects of the project e.g. Testing, implementation planning etc.
Liaise directly with Project manager responsible for the roll out of the project/s within GFS globally
Work with business areas on a regional and global basis to identify and document requirements in the form of user stories
Work with technology to ensure user stories are sufficiently detailed and there is collective understanding between the business and technology of the required solution.
Support unit tests of QA deployed application enhancements
Work with Operations areas and technology partners to build the business case in support of each proposed strategic enhancement.
Support operations and technology partners in a pragmatic hands on, collaborative work environment
Relevant Fund Accounting experience is a clear advantage
Needs to be comfortable reporting to an out of country manager
Good knowledge of Swim lane diagrams and Visio.
Experienced operations manager / business analyst, who is comfortable working in an agile application development environment
A clear communicator, who can convert high level ideas into feasible business / technology solution architecture, supporting definition of end state operations process
Comfortable in a thought leadership role – you should have your own opinions and be comfortable expressing them
Ability to effectively prioritize workloads and work to critical deadlines
Ability to work on own initiative and manage / co-ordinate remote resources
