To safely transfer quality product at a high rate of speed from the plants mixing and distribution system, to the customers preferred packaging. Set-up line for production, including adjusting equipment and installing change parts. Fill each container to the correct customer specifications, including weight, bottle coding, labels, correct case coding. Ensure that the correct packaging is being used to produce the product. Ensure that GMP's are followed. Ensure that all packages meet the legal net weight standard, contain the required code dates, are sealed properly, and packaged properly. Program the ink-dot coders with the information needed to apply the correct code date. Ensure that product meets specifications. Train all other line support on complete line functions Communication and shift handoff to oncoming operator. Communicate at the shift hand-off including the amount of product produced, problems encountered during the shift, adjustments made to equipment. Maintains operational sanitation. Assist in product change-overs including flushing of equipment. Maintain a record of product produced and other records including SIS information, scrap rates, weight sheets, seal tests, metal detector logs. Perform quality control checks on proper placement of lids, closure of bags, wrapping, weights, codes, and case inspections. Ensures Ventura's process pararments are met. Ensure that scrapped product is properly identified and handled. Complete and attach UMI tags on equipment, as needed.
Position RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED. Mechanical aptitude, good judgment, hand and eye coordination, manual dexterity, strength and stamina, good vision, ability to work with and lead others, some electrical knowledge, effective communicator, both written and verbal. Must be able to identify and report any food safety and food security concerns.
