We are currently looking for Machine Operators to work in Big Rapids, MI, primarily on 2nd and 3rd shift. uThe Role/uPerforms and has primary responsibility for machine operations in multiple work centers as required, including, but not limited to, setting up, adjusting, and operating various machines/equipment, including welding machines, to produce quality (as defined by Haworth quality standards) parts per blueprints, product orders, and engineering specifications, within tolerance.. Performs necessary quality checks, practices machine preventive maintenance, and performs general utility work to meet work schedule. uMore about the Job/u• Flexing work schedule and overtime may be required including weekends and/or holidays per business • Requires ability to lift/move product weighing up to 50 pounds with assistance. • Requires current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship. • Requires job seeker to be able to work in Big Rapids, MI without relocation assistance. uBasic Qualifications/u• High school diploma or GED. • Two years of manufacturing experience OR one year of Haworth manufacturing experience. uOther Requirements/u• Good communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills. • Basic computer skills, such as PC and keyboard/mouse skills. • Requires ability to stand up for long periods of time. • Requires ability to work in fast-paced, team environment. • Requires ability to multi-task and operate various machines/equipment. • Will assist with completion of appropriate paperwork and data logs. • May learn to operate forklift and/or hi-lo, if able to obtain and retain valid hi-lo license. u Preferred Qualifications/u• Experience with roll-form operations is preferred. • Experience with CNC equipment, such as adjusting programs and operations is preferred. • At least six months of coil-fed sheet metal experience preferred. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and utilize precision measuring instruments strongly preferred. • Experience with Finishing equipment, such as Rotary and/or hand sprayer preferred. • Experience with powder finishing, wet paint application or stain base application preferred. • Experience utilizing mill gauges, gloss meters, and/or scratch and hardness tests preferred.
