The Operations Associate will report to the Chief Operating Officer and provide operational support to the firm, including the Portfolio Management team. *Perform daily cash and position reconciliations, as well as portfolio valuation *Support the Chief Operating Officer in the movement of funds, including incoming investments, redemptions and wiring of expense payments *Perform an independent monthly accounting for the fund, including investor equity balances, expense accruals and performance calculations *Full charge bookkeeping/accounting for business, including oversight of a third-party payroll provider and the company's 401K plan *Assist with tax preparation and annual audit *Oversee the preparation and submission of periodic regulatory filings *Provide support to the Chief Compliance Officer for the implementation, execution and documentation of firm policies and procedures *Manage periodic communications with investors and prospective investors, including assistance with investor onboarding and due diligence requests What You Will Need: *Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or related field *A minimum of two years of general accounting experience *Previous compliance or tax experience a plus *CPA license preferred *To be a self-starter who requires minimal guidance *Strong written and verbal communication skills *A keen attention to detail *The ability work in a small team environment is a must *Strong command of Microsoft Excel *Professionalism, a need to continually learn, and a strong sense of ethics are essential *Passion and desire to be part of a high performing team!
