SCHS Cardiovascular Services - Operating Room Assistant-Cath Lab (AST OR ANCATH) in Bend, Oregon

Cardiovascular Services - Operating Room Assistants will maintains cleanliness in the Cath Lab Operating Rooms. Provides assistance with transport of patients and transport of items throughout the hospital. Maintains, prepares and moves equipment and supplies within the Cath Lab Operating Room.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

(May perform additional duties of similar complexity within SCHS as required or assigned)

Maintain a clean environment in the Cath Lab Operating Rooms.

Ensure all beds, tables, positioners and supplies are available and maintained.

Provide support to Cardiovascular Services staff to consist of cleaning Cath Lab Operating Rooms, offices, bathrooms and common areas.

Completes unit specific and annual CBL’s and competencies on time.

Role models two-way communication of the SCHS mission, vision, values, and strategic plan for the department.

Conducts all activities with the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality. Complies with all applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures, supporting the health system’s corporate integrity efforts by acting in an ethical and appropriate manner, reporting known or suspected violations of applicable rules, and cooperating fully with all company investigations and proceedings.

Delivers customer service and/or patient care in a manner that promotes goodwill, is timely, efficient and accurate.

Education:

High school diploma or GED required.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

CPR certification required.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required to perform the job safely.

Experience:

Some institutional housekeeping experience preferred.

Continually (75% or more): Standing, grasping/squeezing, use of clear and audible speaking voice and the ability to hear normal speech level.

Frequently (50%): Walking, lifting/carrying/pushing or pulling 1-25 pounds.

Occasionally (25%): Bending, stooping/kneeling/crouching. Climbing ladders/step stools and reaching overhead. Lifting/carrying/pushing or pulling 25-50 pounds. Requires the ability to hear whispered speech level.

Rarely (10%): Sitting, climbing stairs and keyboard operation.

Never (0%): Operation of a motor vehicle.

Exposure to Elemental Factors
