Key Areas of Responsibility
Manage and direct team of 5-6 direct reports (25 in total group)
Manage sub-contractor costs and payments against statement of work; Manage charges to/from other NCR offices
Follow contracts to ensure that all revenues due to PS are received, maximize PS revenue
Track project costs, revenues, and target margins
Initiate customer billings via PSA and ensure billing is done appropriately; Make appropriate accounting entries
Financial/Business Management of PS practice using data analytics and KPIs
Manage and Direct Revenue forecast through proactive Project Progress & Milestone Reviews
Control labor costs and people utilization to align to team profit commitments
Analyze practice profitability drivers, recommend and implement improvement plans
Serve as Subject Matter Expert for Professional Services Automation tool.
Set up projects in PSA; Create project budgets and amend where necessary
Follow up to ensure Timesheets are processed and approved accurately and on a timely basis
Set up new employees in PSA and provide training on the system
Provide coaching to Project Managers in understanding NCR project accounting and to use this to manage their projects
Closing projects and engagements when complete
Drive Improvements in the operations of the PS business
Provide Professional Services expertise/ analysis to PS management
Target activities to improve productivity and profitability of PS consultants in the field practices through performance analysis
Recommend and implement corrective actions to improve results
Address and improve process gaps and inefficiencies
Measure and Govern Professional Services business effectiveness
Report on a core set of financial, operational, and people-related metrics for multiple levels of PS practices (global, regional, field)
Analyze PS business and evaluate metrics, identify opportunities and actions for improvement; Conduct monthly Region reviews
Share PS expertise/analysis in the form of operational reviews and audits, as well as process review and audits for compliance
Results oriented business leader with solid understanding of budgets, forecasting, planning, and P&L
Exceptional presentation skills and ability to instill trust
10 years’ experience building/running Professional Services organization in technology environment.
Bachelor's Degree required;
Project (PM) and team management experience in a distributed environment.
Strong consulting skills and ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrable success planning and managing scope, schedule, cost, resources, quality, and risks
Detail oriented person eager to learn, retain and apply considerable amounts of information
Ability to work in a team environment in order to resolve customer issues
