Operations Manager (Logistics)ABB Inc., in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking for a Operations Manager (Logistics Solutions) at our Auburn Hills, MI facility, to join our Robotics and Motion team, the first major global industrial robotics manufacturer to produce robots in the United States. ABB is the leading supplier of industrial robots, modular manufacturing systems and service and has installed more than 250,000 robots worldwide.2017-09-04Line Management / Project leadTasks:This person shall be responsible for a logistics solutions segment, resources and associated activities of the organization. Promote, develop and implement measures to achieve cost-effective improvements in operations, increase customer satisfaction and ensure compliance with policies and regulations. Typical duties/responsibilities for operations may include, but are not limited to, the following: * Direct the development of goals, objectives and plans for the organization. * Oversee logistics solutions operations and ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures, and with codes and regulations. * Initiate measures to ensure quality of products and responsiveness to customer requirements. * Direct investigations and analyses, and the development of proposals depicting cost benefits and other advantages associated with proposed actions. * Negotiate or manage negotiations that typically have considerable impact on the organization. * Ensure most effective utilization of staff, equipment and facilities. * Represent the organization in meetings and conferences, provide technical and business advice and play a key role in formulating plans. * Direct the investigation of new methods, materials and techniques and the costs/benefits of their utilization. * Provide counsel and support to senior managers and promote equitable resolution of problems while continuing to protect the interests of the Company and ensuring customer satisfaction. * Provide guidance and arrange for training of staff.
