The Senior Manager Finance – Global Operations will lead global operations financial reporting, analysis and decision support for sourcing, manufacturing and distribution for the Baby Division. The Baby Division relies heavily on strategic sourcing partners, with four company operated plants and two pack out centers located across the regions. This role will be the business partner to the Vice President Supply Chain for the Baby Division and will assist in delivering financial targets as well as key business initiatives. This role will have direct & indirect reports in a matrixed organization. This individual must develop effective relationships in order to gather information, develop thoughtful conclusions (sometimes with limited data and tight deadlines) and influence decision making.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Coordinate timely and accurate closing, budgeting & forecasting cycle for operations. Lead financial reporting and analysis to assess and identify risks and opportunities and drive accountability for operations & distribution variances, productivity / cost savings initiatives, inventory and capital expenditures.

  • Prepare internal reporting package that is timely and insightful that will help in improving business performance.

  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the assumptions underlying the budget and forecasts, including sales & purchasing volumes, impact of strategic initiatives, pricing, foreign currency exposure, productivity, inflation; understand deviations and action timely countermeasures.

  • Oversee annual standard cost rolls and physical inventory counts.

  • Support Division VP Supply Chain and CFO in the overall operational management of the Division.

  • Lead the financial integration for operations finance for a recently acquired business with domestic and international operations.

  • Ensure full internal control measures are in place and complied with according to the guidelines of internal and external audit and Sarbanes-Oxley

  • Evaluate current systems and processes and recommend appropriate value-added changes to enhance tools and information.

  • Provide strong leadership and communication to the supply chain team and total business.

  • Provide career development and coaching/mentoring to the finance staff.

  • Position will have 2 direct reports, but will oversee / coordinate with regional & center led teams to accomplish objectives.

  • Some domestic and international travel expected.

Qualifications

Key Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate Degree in Accounting / Finance

  • 7-10 years of experience in finance/accounting with manufacturing, cost or sourcing experience, preferably in a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) environment.

  • 5 years in a supervisory or management role.

  • Experience with SAP and Hyperion is strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills.

  • Ability to assess risks and opportunities within complex business situations.

  • Demonstrated ability to recommend and make decisions quickly under any situation.

  • Demonstrated record of solid career progression.

  • Action orientation and assertive style.

  • Ability to be objective.
