Kelly Services is currently hiring for Experienced Machine Operators (Extrusion Press operators, Monomer Polymer Process Technician) in Athens, GA. You will be working for one of the top Medical Device Manufacturing companies in the nation.
PAY RATE : Starts at 16.80 per an hour, based on shift
SHIFT HOURS Varies
Extrusion Press Operators details:
Operates and navigates with the extruder computer control systems
Operates the polymer feed system and troubleshoots to eliminate feed problems
Starts up, manage and run the operation of six or more extruder machines running at the same time
Tests fiber denier and perform tray testing as required and when necessary troubleshoots process equipment and takes appropriate corrective actions
Monitors equipment through measured checks of speeds and temperatures
Makes appropriate process changes using the extrusion process specification and troubleshooting guide in conjunction with directions from Supervisors
Loads fiber in ovens at required intervals
Records production data for tracking and evaluating run yield trends, actual yield, and audit progression
Weigh and record data to track polymer usage
Maintains accurate and legible documentation
Shift Hours 7pm-7am, 3-2-2 schedule
Monomer Polymer Process Technician details
Experience with at least one extrusion operation with working knowledge of at least two molding or sutures manufacturing operations.
Working knowledge of finishing operations for absorbable monofilament and multifilament sutures
Procure raw materials for monomer/polymer trials
Perform processing as required for monomer/polymer analysis.
Maintain accurate records of studies and provide general statistical analysis of results.
Working knowledge of all monomer/polymer processes.
Working knowledge of all monomer/polymer defects and classifications.
Practical knowledge of extrusion and/or injection molding processes and the effects that polymers have on them
Working knowledge of process instrumentation and controllers with basic knowledge of PLC's.
Shifts: 2nd shift: 3pm-11pm or 4pm-12midnight
3rd shift: 11pm-7am or 12midnight-8am
High school education, G.E.D. or equivalent skills, experience, or training.
Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience
Ability to read blue prints
Set-up, operation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
Experience with test equipment, measurement and inspection devices including microscopes, gauges, optical comparators, dial indicators, scales and micrometers
Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percent, and fractions.
Department safety and GMP procedures
Working knowledge of basic hand tools
Working knowledge of shop math
