The NCC Watch Floor Officer (Cyber Operations Analyst) 3 position will be located in Arlington, VA.Selected candidate must be able to support shift work as follows:1st(0600-1430 M-F), 2nd(2 positions – 1400-2230 M-F), & 4th(0530-1900 Sat & Sun).
·Officers will be responsible for: monitoring the NCC accounts, in accordance with their security clearance for communications infrastructure-related information; interfacing with sector representatives; responding to initial requests from the sectors or other parts of DHS; and performing initial research into answers, issues, or events prior to turning the action over to customer leads
·Watch Officers will support the NRF, ESF#2, and CS&C Cyber Initiatives.
·Attend meetings and discussions, interface with industry or outside agencies for the purpose of taking notes and doing assessments.
Basic Qualifications - To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
·Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline with a minimum of 5 years related technical experience required.
·Active Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility is required.In addition, selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a favorably adjudicated DHS background investigation (EOD) for continued employment.
·Knowledge of cybersecurity and/or IT security.
·Previous experience supporting watch floor and/or service desk operations.
·Broad expertise in research, analysis, and writing skills and able to perform triage on questions, issues, or events involving the nation's critical communications infrastructure.
·Experience implementing technical specifications, system requirements and other related application design information.
·Ability to provide additional support in the event of national security event.
·Ability to support shift work.
Preferred Qualifications- Candidates with these preferred skills will be given preferential consideration:
·Successful candidates will have a strong background in a telecommunications discipline is ideal.
·Experience working with Geospatial Visualization Systems, preferably Esri ARCGIS products Attention to Detail.
·Flexible to work different shifts.
·Telecommunications/communications infrastructure experience.
·Available for extended duty, on-call and/or deployment to alternate locations within the region or continental U.S., as needed.
