Position Title: Cyber Security Operations Manager
Lead the cyber security operations team’s strategy, delivery of services, maintaining quality, and stakeholder satisfaction.
Establish the strategic direction and oversee the team’s design and maintenance of Information Security processes, tools and analytics; Manage and prioritize work load; Develop project plans, resource plans, and schedules for completion of work.
Provide expert advices on cybersecurity services, implementing and advancing security operations methodologies, concepts of operations, and standards and best practices.
Develop partnerships, build relationship and collaborate with internal team members, government leads, and other parts of the agency’s IT organization (e.g., applications, infrastructure, Help Desk, PMO, etc.).
Oversee security analysis, administration and remediation procedures, workflows and tasks
Lead the expansion and growth of security operation services and drive integration of new products and services; Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are being created and followed by the team.
Lead the peer review process in support of product delivery. Assist in weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc status reporting to support the management of contract, project schedules and cost.
Maintain ongoing open dialogue with staff, sharing information and knowledge at appropriate times, and help staff in professional development and career growth.
Bachelors degree in Information Technology related field. 10+ years of hands-on technical experience in which 4+ years working within the information security field, with emphasis on security operations, incident management, intrusion detection, firewall deployment, and security event analysis. 5+ years leading program/project
In-depth understanding of federal-wide security requirements, e.g. National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST), Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), as well as current threats and security/privacy protection methodologies
Proven technical leadership experience managing a staff of SMEs and ability to lead, instruct, or mentor teammates and junior staff
Experience with providing budget and forecasting inputs for managed team and handling ad hoc tasks such as developing procedures, security requirements, and statement of work (SoW)
Ability to translate complex technical concepts and strategies into a concise, professional manner and easily understood terms and/or presentations for stakeholders at a various levels throughout the organization
Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work with enthusiasm in an environment with constantly changing priorities
Federal government cybersecurity experience, especially in the civilian sector
Life cycle experience with a strong implementation background and/or experience performing security control assessment tests or audits.
Able to work well with software developers, systems engineers, requirements analysts, help desk technicians and others who may have information to support security policy development, incident response and vulnerability management
Self-starter with the ability to digest technical environment and information quickly
Strong communication skills and the ability to develop and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Exposure to one or more of the below IT security products.

One or more of the following certifications are preferred:
Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP)
Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
Certified Authorization Professional (CAP)
