JOB REQUIREMENTS: Tracking Code 2750-303 Job Description Specific Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Safely and efficiently operate various transport equipment throughout the plant. Routinely check and maintain equipment as needed. 2. Keep press area supplied with pallets and related materials. Move press delivered printed forms to Work-In-Process (WIP) area or packaging line as required. Perform verification that counts and load tags are accurate and correctly applied to pallets. 3. Responsible for timely, accurate delivery and retrieval of materials, pallets, forms, and other related miscellaneous items required by the Finishing Production equipment. 4. Place pallets on packaging line. Maintain adequate and accurate records to show pallet was received through the line. Assure quality application of packaging materials and make sure all identification markings are legible. 5. Assist Product Control Analysts in organizing WIP. 6. Promote working as a team and with other departments to build continuous improvement within LSC Communications. 7. Perform other job related duties as assigned. Must be skilled in handling controls for starting, stopping, backings, and driving fork lift or clamp truck through aisles in building, up and down ramps, and in and out of railroad cars, trucks, etc.; and, for lifting, lowering, and tilting forks by moving hands, arms, feet, and legs to operate controls. 2. Must know how high, wide, and long the fork lift truck and its load are, and how much the fork lift truck can lift. 3. Good special ability to identify how high and wide a doorway and an aisle must be to drive the fork lift truck and its load; how high and wide the shelf, bin, etc., must be to place the load; and how high the load must be lifted to reach the shelf or bin. 4. Must be able to recognize whether the fork lift truck is able to lift the load and whether the load is properly balanced. 5. Knowledge of the layout of the storage area to be able to find and place items without need for detailed instructions. 6. Must be licensed to drive Forklift and other transport equipment.
