The candidate will be required to do the following:Plan set-up by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting drawings and tolerances.Programs and set-up machine by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches.Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part inspections, and sample workpieces; adhering to standards.Maintains specifications by observing machine variations, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, adjusting and reprogramming controls, adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions.Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.Requirements and Qualification:2 or more years of CNC experience.Willingness to operate in a fast pace and changing environment. Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds.Able to read a tape measure during the set up and operation of the equipment and ensure dimensional and cosmetic part quality is maintained.An understanding of good shop practices and safe operating proceduresOperate machine in safe and efficient manner under Fry Reglet guidelines.Manage workflow by actively communicating with floor supervisor.Wear all required PPE during machine operation and required designated areas.Mechanically inclined, close attention to detail, adapts to change easily, and high level of motivation to complete tasks promptly is required.
