Raytheon Senior Operations Engineer in Alice Springs, Australia

Raytheon IIS/GIS provides Operations and Maintenance support for the Intelligence Community Raytheon's Triton Program is seeking an experienced Senior Operations Engineer to join our hardware installation & maintenance team located at a customer site in Australia. The team is responsible for tasks such as data center evolution and operations floor reconfiguration projects, Tier-1 hardware trouble failure resolution and supporting the life cycle maintenance of baseline systems at the facility. The Sr. Operations Engineer also plays a significant role in sustaining the integrity of the hardware baseline, and may be required to support new system integration activities. Primary functions include : Hardware component failure diagnostics and replacement Computer and electronics equipment/rack installation and removal Installation and removal of under floor cables Cable fabrication and repair Developing hardware logistics support and maintenance documentation Developing and implementing RFC plans to facilitate reconfiguration requests Additional life cycle support functions : System problem resolution Completion of planned maintenance procedures Providing technical input on equipment failures and enhancements Maintaining system status via master station logs Workshop and equipment area organization Implementing hardware policies as promulgated Ensuring ESD procedures are followed Other duties as required Required Skills : Must be familiar with cabling requirements, applications and standards Must have demonstrated ability to learn complex technical functions quickly Must have a minimum of 5+ years experience and/or training in the installation and removal of computer and/or electronics equipment Qualified applicants must have the ability to satisfy requirements for a TS/SCI SSBI (US) or TS/PV (AUS) security clearance. U.S. or Australian Citizenship required. US citizens and family must: Successfully pass medical and psychological examinations prior to being selected for the position; and Have the ability to satisfy requirements for applicable visas to work and/or reside in Australia Desired Skills: Associate level qualifications in electronic engineering Experience and/or training in analogue and digital signal technologies Fiber Optic Cable fabrication certification Working knowledge of Data Centre management, best practices & policies Required Education: Must have an Electronic Technician Certification or possess an equivalence of 10 years of applicable experience in lieu of a degree Cabling Training and/or Certifications. e.g. Certified Network Cable Installer (CNCI®), Integrated Telecommunications Training Package, ACMA registration, etc. 98007
