Overview of Position: Responsible for the strategic and ongoing development, direction, supervision and administration of multiple assigned clinics. Ensures quality of care, cost effectiveness and optimal performance,staffing and recruitingof personnel. Manages the daily administrative functions associated with clinic operations which may include hospital relationships, hospital call schedules, and OR block time management. Ensures compliance of all employees with adherence to all regulatory requirements of DaVita Medical Group and accrediting agencies as related to the DaVita Medical Group’s participation in center of excellence programs and DME licensure. Oversees the personnel ensuring adherence of patient, employee and physician satisfaction program goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Mentors, coaches, and develops staff to accomplish goals; takes responsibility for identifying developmental needs and creating action plans to enhance growth and development. Manages monitors and documents the performance appraisal process for staff establishing work standards and expectations by providing feedback regularly.

· Responsible for the daily monitoring of charge capture patient encounters, co-payment collections, accounts receivable, denials, cash collections and credit/refunds. Develops reporting mechanisms to provide accurate updates to clinic/site management team on process improvements regarding revenue related activities .

  • Creates opportunities across organizational lines to implement customer focused processes and care. Models exemplary internal and external customer service through time investigation, feedback, resolution and documentation of customer complaints.

  • Works closely with Director to meet Budget (Operating & Capital) for assigned areas.This includes providing input on Physician compensation draws and any adjustments to those draws on an ongoing basis, ensuring compliance with Physician Compensation Policies and financial accountabilities.

  • Develops strategies and goals for team that align with DaVita Medical Group’s strategic direction. Advise Director regarding program and project status, progress, and implementation issues. Plan for professional growth related to professional goals based on self-assessment, evaluation and feedback; assume responsibility for acquiring knowledge and experiences to meet goals.

  • Accountable for managing staff schedules, including physician, on a daily basis to ensure optimum scheduling and coverage of multiple Clinic/Site services. This includes monitoring staff and physician requests for time off to ensure proper coverage at all times. This may include hospital relationships, hospital call schedules, and OR block time management.

  • Participate in key decision making regarding overall planning, work redesign, and staff development associated with implementing changes in patient care delivery.Partners with key stake holders to develop yearly Clinic/Site strategic business plans to ensure medical practice development and identification and implementation of new revenue opportunities.Partner with Marketing, IT, Contracting and other staff functions as appropriate to drive implementation of revenue-related initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies governing health care delivery and the rules of accrediting bodies by continually monitoring appropriate clinic operations, programs and physical properties; initiate changes where required. Recommend changes for improvement in program content and in short/long-range planning in order to maintain competitiveness in the healthcare market.

Qualifications

Education: Required: Bachelor’s Degree in nursing, healthcare or business related field.

Preferred: Master’s Degree in nursing, healthcare or business related field

Experience: Required: Five (5) years of previous job-related experience of which three (3) years must have been in a management capacity.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: PC proficient; Supervisory/Management skills; ability to lead work teams; ability to compile complex reports and develop presentations; ability to counsel and/or consult; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
