OES has 11 manufacturing and distribution centers strategically located across the U.S. and Canada.SummaryOldcastle Enclosure Solutions, a rapidly growing division of Oldcastle Precast, is looking for an energetic, hard-working, highly motivated and action oriented individual who is familiar with and demonstrated the ability to apply the principles and tools of lean manufacturing in a production environment. In this position, the OE Specialist will work with the Oldcastle Enclosure Solutions management team and plant production leaders in planning, developing and administering an effective Operational Excellence management program. This position will include being able to execute the Oldcastle OE plan, and provide strategic guidance across the Enclosures group on all OE related issues in the areas of Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Delivery/Service. Ideally, this candidate would possess experience in both Lean Manufacturing and Environmental, Health and Safety programs.Coordinates and promotes Operational Excellence programs and policies. This includes utilizing industry standard Lean methodologies and change management tools to solve problems and drive improvement changes.Lead the coordination and completion of identified projects and serve in a training role; Develop, coach and mentor others in the plant on continuous improvement tools and Lean methodologies to develop other local leaders in the Operational Excellence programs.Serve as a change agent working collaboratively within and across departments, functions and locations to help implement a culture of continuous improvement.Teach, coach, mentor to drive cultural change. Ability to transfer knowledge and skills through formal education and/or auditing/coaching processes.Provides technical guidance to supervisors in the investigation of near hits and safety incidents, including root cause analysis and corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Lead investigations on serious EH&S incidents when assigned.Review plans and specifications for construction and installation of new machinery or equipment to ensure all safety requirements are met, including authority to sign-off/approve new and relocated machinery/equipment.Work with the Enclosures Operational Excellence team to identify best practices related to predictive maintenance, parts inventory management and machine life cycle management.Coach and educate employees on what an effective performance system, pillars, TPM framework, lean methodologies, and problem solving skills look like.Understanding, implementing and ability to further develop KPIs and other manufacturing performance measuring systems.Promote employee ownership and engagement. Ability to lead focused improvement teams, as well as coordinate and facilitateteam activities.RequirementsBachelors Degree in Business or Engineering.Minimum 3-5 years experience in a production management or continuous improvement manager role.Demonstrated in prior experience the ability to apply Lean Manufacturing tools to drive measurable and tangible improvement results.Leadership, strong communication, technical writing, training, analytical, time management and organizational skills.The ideal candidate will be self-driven; possess excellent skills with all employees, supervisors and managers and have demonstrated through prior work experience the ability to lead and direct teams.Experience in handling EH&S compliance issues including evaluating/interrupting OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations and NFPA and ANSI standards; with OSHA reporting and record keepingexperience would be a plus.This position will require approximately 50% travel.What Oldcastle Offers YouA culture that values op
