We are looking for a talented Operations Manager to keep our operation running smoothly and in balance by staffing the department appropriately and motivating our team to achieve peak quality, efficiency, and overall performance.
Lead and supervise a team of 4+ area operations manager, 10+ operations supervisors/team leaders and up to 500+ hourly associates in the fulfillment center.
Responsible for the overall safety, productivity, quality, budget and customer experience of the warehouse operation.
Understand key distribution metrics; develop systems and processes to transform lessons from those metrics into tangible improvements.
Apply continual process improvement frameworks (Six Sigma, Lean, DMAIC, 5S), to evaluate opportunities & reduce error is a plus.
Manage the full life cycle of process and system improvement projects is a plus.
Analyze small and large data sets to drive business decisions.
Mentor, train and develop your direct reports for career progression and learning.
Manage vendor relations by actively conducting pricing reviews, service audits and contract negotiation.
Skills & Qualifications:
Exceptional academic record - Bachelor required, MBA preferred but not required
5+ years management experience in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment
2+ years of experience in managing process or system improvement projects with proven results, PMP preferred but not required
Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize diverse tasks with a proven ability to meet hard deadlines
Ability to work interdependently and thrive in an unstructured, fast-moving and constantly evolving high growth environment
Strong MS Excel skills, SQL not required but a plus
A KPI and metric-driven mentality
Strong written & oral communication skills and ability to prepare/deliver presentations and lead meetings
Prior knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean or 5S processes preferred
